Game of Thrones - Season 3 Trailer

Hear Ye’ Hear Ye’ all “Game of Thrones” fans, also known as Thronies.  We are just a little over a month away from the premiere of Season 3 on March 31st.  To occupy that time here is the new trailer for the upcoming season.  After watching it all I can say is, “Can it be any more epic?”  I have not read any of the books that the show is based on so I am not sure what to expect in this upcoming season.  Have you read any of the books?

San Diego Comic-Con 2013

San Diego Comic-Con has long been known as the mecca of the u-nerd-verse.  Every year the San Diego Convention Center is invaded by the legions of geeks and huddled masses.  This year proved to be no different as tickets went on sale on February 16^th and sold out in a mere 93 minutes.  It just displays the extent of the appeal of geek culture and its reach into the mainstream.

Welcome to my blog titled “The Geekfast Club”.  First off, what is a geek?  There are a couple of definitions of a geek but the one I am referring to is an enthusiast or expert in a particular hobby.  Therefore, in many instances anybody can be a geek about something.  The days of it being a derogative term are nearly gone, as many intellectual properties considered a part of geek culture such as Marvel’s The Avengers and Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise have gained mainstream notoriety and success.  My blog will run the gamut of the geek culture spectrum.  It will contain news, reviews, and my own personal thoughts on subjects such as movies, television, comic books, video games and a host of other subjects labeled as geek.
