Sit back, relax and enjoy the debut trailer for ‘Kick-Ass 2’ that just hit the internet today. Based on the popular comic book series, this movie is the follow up to the 2010 film that unfortunately went unappreciated at the box office but managed to gain notoriety upon its release on Blu-ray and DVD.
Most of the main stars from the previous movie are back to reprise their roles. Aaron Johnson returns as the titular main character ‘Kick-Ass’ along with Christopher Mintz-Plasse as his arch-nemesis ‘The Mother F%&*^r’ and Chloe Moretz as everyone’s favorite mini vigilante assassin ‘Hit-Girl.’ There are also a couple of new but familiar faces added to the mix as well. The most noteworthy being Jim Carrey in the role of ‘Colonel Stars and Stripes‘, leader of the superhero team ‘Justice Forever.’
From the trailer, the film looks to be delivering the same over-the-top comic book action and ultra-violence that made the previous film so enjoyable. I for one cannot wait to see the final product when it hits theaters in August.

This trailer looks great. I really enjoyed the first movie. I keep meaning to pck up the actual comics to check them out. Have you read them. Are the new characters from the books or are they compleatley new?
ReplyDeleteThe comics are slightly different than the movie but are great and I highly recommend checking them out. The new characters in the movie are from the Kick-Ass Vol. 2 and Hit-Girl comic series.
DeleteBot time a part 2 came out. I hope it's as gritty as the first. Sometimes they water down dark super hero movies (i.e. Wolverine) to get more audience and kids.
